Recover Psychology
Evidence-based counselling for adults — in-person (Croydon, Eltham) and Telehealth across Australia.
Recover Psychology provides professional psychological support for alcohol and other drug concerns, alongside anxiety, low mood, stress, motivation, and life transitions.
Our approach is practical, respectful, and recovery-informed — focused on understanding what’s happening and working together on clear, manageable steps forward.
How we can help
People come to therapy for different reasons. We’ll start by understanding what’s been happening, then build practical strategies you can use between sessions.
Alcohol and other drug concerns
Anxiety and stress
Low mood and burnout
Habit change and motivation
Relationships and communication
Confidence, self-worth, and boundaries
Alcohol and other drug concerns often occur alongside other emotional or life challenges. Our work takes a whole-person approach rather than focusing on one issue in isolation.
How it works
First session: clarify what you want help with and what’s getting in the way
Plan: agree on a direction, pace, and practical strategies
Ongoing: build skills, track progress, and adjust as life changes
It’s normal to feel nervous — we’ll go at a pace that feels manageable. This includes people who are unsure about change, have tried before, or feel ambivalent about where to start.
